Ministry Opportunity: Assistant Pastor
“He shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, And guided them with his skillful hands” - Psalm 78:72
Objective:
Community Church of Ephrata is seeking an additional ordained pastor to support the leadership of the Lead Pastor and Church Session. The right candidate will be ready for all aspects of day-to-day ministry in a medium-sized, multi-generational church. Preach, teach, pray, marry, bury, sacraments, special events, outreach, evangelism, discipleship, you will do it all at Community Church. The Assistant pastor will have ample opportunities in the pulpit, classroom, meeting room and living room to become an excellent shepherd-leader.
We are praying for a person who can make meaningful connections with children, teens, and adults. Strong relational and organizational skills are necessary. This person will shepherd teams of volunteers to oversee weekly programs, strategic ministry initiatives, day-to-day discipleship, and special events. The ideal candidate is a self-starter (ready to try it) and eager to learn (quick to listen). The work history of the candidate should demonstrate at least two years of effective ministry. The Assistant Pastor must lead by example of life and godliness.
