Ministry Coordinator for Children, Youth and Families

(part time)

 

 

Qualified applicants will have strong aptitude, work history and demonstrated excellence in these areas:

 

1. Youth Ministry

a.  Serve as a part of the Youth Ministry team.

b.  Work closely with the Director of Ministry to develop and implement programs.

c.  Become the primary ‘implementer’ for our mid-week youth meetings. 

d.  Pursue teens and their families with contact and discipleship.

e.  Work to promote youth ministry, coordinate with parents, recruit volunteers, organize outreach events, special outings, etc. 

f.   Social Event Coordination.
 

2. Children’s Ministry

a.  Serve as a part of the Children Ministry team.

b.  Assist with volunteer recruitment and coordination.

c.  Special Event Coordination.
 

3. Assist in various youth and children’s ministries as needed.

 

Additionally, the ideal applicant:

1.      Is familiar with the nature of working at a church: the requirements to be both technically proficient and user-friendly, gracious but firm, courageous but patient and tactful.

2.      Is self-aware, honest, humble, and teachable.

3.      Has an established, professional reputation for working well on a team.

4.      An Associate degree is desirable.

 

Statement of Faith:

1.      The applicant will be required to sign the EPC Statement of Faith.  Any further discussion or explanation of the applicant’s personal faith must be stated in writing.  

2.      The personal history of the applicant should demonstrate growth in grace, in Christian integrity, and in commitment to the mission of Jesus Christ.

 

Hours and Compensation

●       A variable weekly work scheduled up to 20 hours per week to include some evenings and some weekends.  (A weekly schedule that is as regular and predictable, as possible, will be coordinated with other staff.)

●       Personal contact work is expected, recognizing there will be coordination with other staff.  Health and safety guidelines and expectations need to be reviewed and discussed with the Director of Ministry.

●       An interim and annual review will be conducted.

●       Professional expenses.

●       Compensation is competitive / DOE
